LIKES ABOUT LIFE; My kids, good friends, good food, good music and good times! Life is an easy and fun time made hard by people who dont know how to enjoy it

DISLIKES ABOUT LIFE; The idiots that are trying to run the world, false people who take themselves to seriously and people in motorcycling who use the rules to suit themselves and make the sport suffer.

FIRST INTEREST IN MOTORCYCLES; Born into it

FIRST COMPETITION; KMCC 'pre licence holder' club events, 1980, ah Menglers Hill in the rain with baldish tyres on a CT175 Yammy - memories! First open competition, 1981 Mountain Man observed trial - got my ass kicked by some kid called Todd Kuerschner, wonder what happened to him?

FIRST BIG WIN; Finishing 1989 24 Hour Trial, being part of the winning KMCC Sidecar Team (the only team to finish) and being awarded the 'Most Outstanding Performance on a Sidecar' Trophy

ACHIEVEMENTS IN CAREER; 2004 'B Grade Sidecar' Moto Trials South Australian Champion (with Paul Wright)2005 'Clubman Sidecar' Reliability Trials South Australian Champion (with Nick Warnest)

LOWLIGHT OF CAREER (SO FAR); Leading the Rally Class in the 1998 24 Hour Trial, with Paul Wright, for 22 hours and not finishing due to a faulty pump after getting a flat tyre Only finishing one (1) 24 Hour Trial in 13 attempts Dislocating shoulder riding moto trials one week before and not being able to ride the 2004 24 Hour trial.

FACET(S) CURRENTLY RIDING; Reliability Trials sidecar and the occasional Moto Trial.

CURRENT SPONSORS; The wallet.

FAVOURITE EVENT & WHY?; All of them for various reasons, but probably the Robertstown 2 Day, not only for the event and the terrain, but for our yearly camping trip, ohhh, those Monday morning headaches!

ANY RACING INJURIES; Usual aches and pains, dislocated shoulder and knocked out cold in the first 24 Hour I rode when, with Wayne Ahrens we hit a dog early on lap 2 and ended up at Kapunda Hospital!

BIGGEST INFLUENCE(S) ON CAREER; Father Ken, the other Warnest Boys (Geoff, Jim, Don & George), and the KMCC characters! (Wack & Willie, Rooster Harrison, Bob Petts, the Holmes Clan, Ross Evans, Dennis Weichert, etc). On riding sidecars - Fred Weckert and Leigh Hollamby, you couldn't ask for better advice! A lot of these guys also taught the "joy of drinking port", hazy memories!

BEST & FAVOURITE RIVALS; Late '80's & early '90's - Michael Fechner & Brenton Tomney, Brian Jenke, Craig Saegy & Chris Hunter. From 2004 onwards - The Robinson brothers, Wundy & Parksy, John Songailo.

FAVOURITE ALL TIME COMPETITORS; Locally - Fred, Leigh, Malcolm Rasmus, Darren Winter, Don Pumpa, Dave Manuel, and the list goes on.. All time - Mike Hailwood (the greatest ever!), Jarno Saarinen, Malcolm Smith, Sammy Miller, Kenny Blake, Gregg Hansford, Mick Doohan and Valentino Rossi.

SUPERSTITIONS; Never drive Chris Holmes home from meetings after midnight when you are still at school! You get in heaps of trouble with your parents. A hard, but good lesson here kids!

FUTURE AMBITIONS IN CAREER; Ride while I still enjoy it, help the Club to prosper into the future and run great events (riding and social), become a coach to help the Club's future champions - and - finish the F&*%$#& 24 Hour Trial one more time before I retire from riding!

THOUGHTS ON MOTORCYCLE SPORT IN SA; It seems to go forward for a time and then take a couple of steps back which is sad. Sometimes I feel that too many people are in the sport for only one facet or their own selfish power trips and not for the good of the sport as a whole. Unfortunately when these people are removed, or the good people get fed up with them and leave, they seem to be replaced with more of the same.

THOUGHTS ON THE KEYNETON MCC; A great Club, with a history I am proud my family has played a big part in. At the present time the Club has a united executive and a solid membership base which has seen the Club move forward in leaps and bounds. Hats off to all members, old and new, who are making the Club a great environment to ride and socialise in. Runner-up in the 2007 MSA 'Club of the Year' Award is great reward for all the hard work!
