For 2011, the event is being moved back to the end of October as there are so many events that clash at this time of the year. This year, we will be staying at Bethany Reserve as the location is ideal no matter what the weather is like. The sealed road ride will be starting from here at 10.30 where as the dirt ride will be an off road paddock ride at a local venue not far from Bethany. This is the sit for the “Show ’n’ Display” day on Sunday starting around 10.30am.

This is the 10th anniversary of the TT/XT 500 Muster and we are trying to make this the biggest Muster to date. 2010 saw us break the 60 bike barrier but this year we would like to make triple digits. Please bring your bikes along, whether they are complete or not, and encourage your friends to come along as we all share the same interests.

We are basing the event around Tanunda as this makes it more convenient for us and the interstate guests and those wishing to stay for the weekend. A map showing the location of the sites is attached below.

RIDE DAY - SATURDAY

For this year’s ride day, we have 2 different rides to choose from. The first will be on a sealed road, and the second will be on dirt ride on private property, no rego required.

You will need a registered bike or a permit on the bike for the sealed road ride. This year the ride will be run by John Gersch and will be leaving at 10.30am from the Bethany reserve. It will be a follow the leader type run through the hills with a couple of stops at various locations including a stop for lunch. Please start with a full tank of fuel as the first fuel stop will be at around the 70-80km mark and the ride will be approx 200-250kms finishing around 4-4.30pm. For further details, call John on 0427 621 052.

Shane Kraft in co-junction with the Keyneton Motorcycle club (KMCC) are organising the paddock ride at a property we used 2 years ago at a venue that is within 10kms of Bethany. Full catering will be there on the day and if you don’t have a MA/club licence, 1 can be purchased on the day. The entry fee to ride this is kept low and if you bring your youngster along, they can have a ride too. Supp regs for this date will be up on the web site later in the year.

SATURDAY EVENING

In 2010 we had to change our evening meal to another location which we thought wasn’t quite up to par, so this year will see us going back to The Tanunda Club for the evening meal starting around 7pm, until late (as it usually gets). Anyone wishing to reserve their place can RSVP to Kevin Steinert on 0419 825 851 or email to tag64@bigpond.com from the end of July or by the start of the bitumen ride so that numbers can be confirmed as booking is usually essential. We are hoping to make this a big event and only you can help us do this.

SHOW & DISPLAY - SUNDAY

On Sunday at the Bethany Reserve, the festivities will start around 10.30am with the bikes being on display on the oval for everyone to see. Judging will take place throughout the day with awards to be given out from about 2.00pm. This is to allow the long distance travellers to leave soon after if so desired.

The awards come in many categories ranging from best 30th anniversary TT and XT, (this year being the “H” model), to best Modified, Barossa Photo Company’s choice which is kindly donated by Tony Tervoert, most original unrestored TT and XT, even a Roughy award (formally known as the Bitsa award) for the most mixed up bike (so to speak). For other awards that were given out, look under the 2010 tab to see the winners. There is even an award for those who have travelled the longest distance to attend the event. We are planning on increasing the number of awards for new categories so that there will be, even more winners and grinners.

The Angaston Scout group will once again help out with the catering, so there will be lots of food and drinks (of the non alcoholic variety) on sale. Or those of you who like a bit of a drink, you will need to supply that yourself. Don’t forget a chair as there is very limited seating available.

We will once again have event hats, stickers, beer steins and stubbie coolers for purchase at value prices. As of this year, we have dropped the polo shirts and replace them with the new Podium shirt which looks quite smart. These can by order on the day but if you wish can be pre ordered to pick up on the day if so desired. Oh, of course, we will be running our monster raffle as it is a crowd pleaser. This will be drawn straight after the awards have been given out. It pays to hang around for that. Further details about this day, contact Gary Hage on 0402 777 807

This is an ideal time to make a holiday of it and enjoy the local festivities as well as tour the local wineries form the boutique to the major ones such as Peter Lehman Wines, Yalumba, Wolf Blass and Penfolds, just to name a couple of the larger ones. There are many smaller ones that are really worth a look at as they offer some beautiful wines as well.

Bethany Reserve will be the 2011 Muster Venue for both days, day 1 being the start and finish for both road rides, and Day 2 static show and display.

Hope to see you all there for another wonderful muster and help us make this the biggest 1 yet..
